Take a tour of the Ringrealms
What is Ringrealms of Vagevuur?
Ringrealms of Vagevuur is a tabletop roleplaying game launching on Kickstarter on August 1st, 2020.
Created and designed by writer Matt Yancik, granted shape and form by artist Fernando J. Olivera, and infused with sound and fury by composer E. John Stone, the game takes place on the four rings of Vagevuur (literally: sweeping fire), a world forever anchored within the dark fabric of spacetime between the Tangible Universe of the living and the Intangible Universe of the dead.
Neither flesh nor spirit, players assume the roles of lost souls trapped in the Ringrealms, inhabiting the bodies of varied and exotic species that have been evolving since the literal beginning of time.
Because the Ringrealms is positioned as a nexus between all realities of time and space, lost souls that ingest the mind-altering substance väsen are gifted with the ability to access the Manifold, source of spacetime, bending reality to their will.
Within the boundaries of the Ringrealms of Vagevuur, there is no magic nor are there monsters — only science and mathematics, chaos and order, the tame and the wild.
How do I know I want the game?
Trust us. You’re going to want it!
But, if you’d understandably like to kick the tires and take it for a spin before investing your hard earned money, we’ll be making an official, eighty-page Ringrealms of Vagevuur Kickstarter Preview PDF available on June 1st, 2020.
The Kickstarter Preview PDF will contain information on the outermost ring of the Ringrealms of Vagevuur, Bjerg: Ring of Rock, as well as detailed templates for playing one of three new races (the techno-organic appara’ti, the parasitic passenger, and the loyal and faithful geissgruff), three new classes (the brutal Trencher, the spacetime-bending Voyant and the mystical Errant), and several new backgrounds specific to Vagevuur.
Additionally, if you’d like to play the game live, you’re welcome to check ‘The Tour’ under the ‘About Us’ tab for a list of locations where Matt Yancik, himself, will be running preview games at select conventions, games shops, and comic shops around the United States.
How can I purchase the game?
Ringrealms of Vagevuur will Kickstart on August 1st, 2020.
Should we reach our funding goals (and when gamers see what we have in store, we’re certain we will!), we plan to deliver the Ringrealms of Vagevuur Core Book in the second quarter of 2021.
We will have more information on an exact release date the closer we get to the Kickstarter, so watch this page for announcements!
